Tim Holtz Distress Stains & Authentique Paper

I first want to thank all of you that came out for the Crazy Days sale. The parking WAS crazy with all of the construction going on and the parade on Saturday. It was great getting to meet all of you!

Now that we have a little more room, lets get on with the new stuff coming into the store this week.

First off......Tim Holtz Distress Stains! Oh, yeah...they are tons of fun and so easy to use!

They make quick work of coloring tags, chipboard, stamped images, ribbon, whole sheets of paper that aren't quite the color you want/need...let your imagination take you somewhere fun!

Authentique Paper is a brand new company this summer and they have some fantastic designs and some clever and fresh ideas with their embelishments. Comming to the store are these three lines:

JOURNEY

SPLENDID

These will be in the store on Tuesday, and there will be more arriving through the week, so stay tuned for what's coming next!

Crazy Days Sale

Downtown Rapid city is having Crazy Days the end of this week, August 18th, 19th, & 20th.  I'm feeling a bit  crazy myself lately, (well, probably most of the time) so the Playground is going to join in on the crazy fun and have a clearance sale on the same days.  Everything in the store is 40% OFF (excluding Skipping Stone's Design stamps), some things will be 50% OFF, and some items even more deeply discounted.  There are lots of new things coming out and I need to make room in the store for them....so out with the old and in with the new!!

Come on down and get your hands on some great deals! You need a little break from all the summer activities, don't you? I think you do. ;o)

Play Time!

Since the store is closed this week for the bike rally and because we had no place to live while all the paperwork is being done on buying a house...and since we just found temporary housing until we close on the house...I thought it would be a great time for some fun and a giveaway!!
I've heard through the grapevine that there are some card makers out there that would like more items in the store for card making. I would love to hear from all of you, cardmakers and scrappers, local or not...which do you do more...cards or layouts?
I will be giving away one $25 gift certificate to one lucky poster. The certificate is good for one year, and if you don't live close by, I will hold it for you until you have a chance to come visit.

A New Beginning

Welcome to the Playground!
This is the home of the new blog for Altered Art & Scrap Playground.
I will be updating you on new things coming into the store, class schedules and any other happenings that take place.
I am so excited about this new adventure! Having a great little scrapbook store has been a dream of mine for years and it is finally coming true. Living so close to the Black Hills is also another dream come true. 
I look forward to serving the scrapping, stamping and paper craft community and getting to know all of you!
